You may have heard a lot about personal protective equipment (PPE). But do you know how to use it safely? Let’s all do our part to stop the spread of COVID-19!

In the video above, a health care worker from Massachusetts shows you how to safely put on and take off any PPE you might need to wear when you care for a resident in assisted living or long-term care. You won’t need all of this PPE for every visit. Your supervisor will tell you what pieces of PPE you need.

After you watch the video, use the resources below to learn more about COVID-19 and how to keep you, the people you are caring for, and your family safe from the virus and other germs.

Congregate Care Toolkit

The congregate care toolkit includes posters, flyers and other printable items. These materials go along with the video and help remind staff in long-term care and assisted living how to stay safe during COVID-19. View the toolkit
