The Antibiotic Resistance & Patient Safety Portal from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provides access to visualizations of national and state-by-state data about antibiotic resistance, use and stewardship, as well as health care-associated infections in different health care settings.
The graph below, showing compliance with seven core elements of antibiotic stewardship by Massachusetts hospitals, is one of many available on the portal. More information is available from the CDC about the core elements: leadership commitment, accountability, drug expertise, implementation, tracking, reporting and education.
The portal also includes a beta version of a “data explorer” that offers advanced analysis and data downloading.
