The Betsy Lehman Center offers free technical assistance to help health systems implement a peer support program that works for their organization.
Keep it local
Build a custom peer support program for your organization
You get:
- A tailored, onsite program
- Two years of implementation help, including training for volunteers
- Access to a learning community for program managers
You need:
- Internal oversight and dedicated staff (.25 FTE)
- Clinician and staff volunteers to serve as peer supporters
- Ability to collect data on the program
Best for:
- Large organizations; organizations with staffing resources sufficient to sustain the program
Join the statewide network
Co-brand materials and promote the existing Virtual Peer Support Network within your organization
You get:
- Access to an established network of peer supporters
- Training for local volunteers
- Technical support for one year
You need:
- Commitment to promote the Virtual Peer Support Network within your organization on an ongoing basis
- Capacity to attend monthly communication and planning meetings for at least 6 months
Best for:
- Any health care provider organization, ranging from private practices to hospitals of any size
Take a hybrid approach
A combination of the first two options
You get:
- A tailored, onsite program
- Two years of implementation help, including training for volunteers
- Clinicians and staff can request support from inside or outside your organization
- Access to a learning community for program managers
You need:
