Diagnostic error cases available on WebM&M

As reported in the February edition of Patient Safety Beat, the Primary-Care Research in Diagnosis Errors (PRIDE) Learning Network, led by Brigham & Women’s Center for Patient Safety Research and Practice with funding from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and hosted by the Betsy Lehman Center, was formed to leverage cases of delayed or missed diagnoses of patients in the primary care setting to learn more about how to reduce the risk of diagnostic errors.

Three cases reviewed and analyzed by PRIDE researchers and outside experts are now available on WebM&M, a series of cases studies with expert commentary published by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.

Learn more about PRIDE and find out how you can submit a de-identified diagnostic error case for review through an online portal on the Betsy Lehman Center website.
